A leading pharmaceutical distribution company in Indonesia is seeking an IT Product Manager. In this role, you will lead the development of supply chain technology solutions, focusing on improving product traceability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of product management experience, expertise in supply chain logistics, and familiarity with ERP integration, particularly Oracle Applications.
As a leading pharmaceutical distribution company in Indonesia, we are the critical link ensuring that essential medicines reach communities nationwide. Operating at a massive scale with 39 warehouses, 10,000 active SKUs, and processing over 300,000 orders monthly, our logistics operation is the backbone of our business. We are looking for a visionary Product Manager to join our IT team and spearhead the evolution of our supply chain technology.
Reporting directly to the IT Manager and leading a dedicated engineering team, you will be empowered to design and build a modern technology ecosystem around our core Oracle ERP. Your mission will be to solve our most pressing operational challenges: enhancing product traceability, improving fulfillment speed and accuracy, and optimizing every step of our distribution process.
This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on national healthcare by building the digital products that define the future of pharmaceutical logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Roadmap: Develop and execute a product roadmap focused on solving key operational pain points, directly contributing to business goals like improving our On-Time In-Full (OTIF) fulfillment rate.
End-to-End Traceability: Design and implement robust solutions to enhance product and transaction traceability from warehouse receipt to final delivery. Ensure systems support critical pharmaceutical needs like batch/lot number tracking and expiry date management to uphold regulatory compliance.
Warehouse & Transport Optimization: Lead the discovery and development of features for our Warehouse (WMS) and Transport (TMS) capabilities. Specifically target initiatives that reduce resource wait times, minimize idle assets, and increase operational throughput.
Ecosystem Development: Act as the chief architect for our logistics application ecosystem. Identify opportunities to build or integrate nimble, best-in-class applications that layer on top of our Oracle ERP to provide a smoother, more intuitive user experience for our operations teams.
Agile Execution: Manage the entire product lifecycle within an agile framework. Translate complex business needs into clear user stories and technical requirements, manage the product backlog, and work hand-in-hand with your dedicated engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Be the bridge between technology and operations. Collaborate closely with warehouse managers, logistics planners, and quality assurance teams to ensure the products you build are effective, adopted, and solve real-world problems.
Performance Measurement: Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for your products. Use data to demonstrate success, justify investments, and guide your roadmap.
Qualifications
Experience: 5-8+ years of product management experience, with a clear progression in
responsibility.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution industry is a significant advantage.
ERP Integration: Demonstrable experience working with or building solutions that integrate with large-scale ERP systems is essential. Direct experience with Oracle Applications (EBS, Fusion) is highly preferred.
Technical Acumen: You must be comfortable discussing technical concepts, understanding system architecture, and working closely with engineers to make technology and design decisions.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex processes, identify root causes of inefficiency, and design elegant and effective product solutions.
Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to guide a dedicated team and excellent communication skills to articulate your vision and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels, from warehouse staff to executive leadership.
Bonus Points for:
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other regulatory requirements in a validated supply chain environment.
Experience with modern logistics technologies like telematics, IoT for cold chain monitoring, or warehouse automation.
