Job summary

PT. Joinease Manufaktur Indonesia is seeking a network engineer to design, implement, and manage computing and network services in a manufacturing environment. You will deploy robust networks, maintain documentation, and contribute to technical projects.

You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers; monitor performance; enforce security; and provide Tier 3 support. Qualifications include a D3/S1 in IT or CS and 2–3 years in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and system administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: D3/S1 in IT or CS.
• 2–3 years of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, firewall and switching/routing configuration.
• Familiar with network design, security, and server administration (Windows/Linux).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, APs).
• Plan upgrades and expansions to support growth and new technologies.
• Perform regular maintenance, firmware updates, and hardware refreshes.
• Monitor performance, utilization, and security with SolarWinds/PRTG or similar tools.
• Implement and manage network security; provide Tier 3 escalation support.
• Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams; ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with ISPs/vendors to manage WAN circuits and resolve issues.

Job description

A network engineer will be involved in designing, implementing and managing computing and network services within manufacturing environment. Network engineer during infrastructure deployment is expected to determine and deploy robust, stable and manageable computing and network services. A network engineer is expected to actively involve in technical projects related to network infrastructure. A network engineer is expected to be able to define site computing and network server strategy, doing some research and stay update on new technology, products and tool relevant to manufacturing networks. A network engineer is expected to create proper documentation for any technical action to maintain consistency in network configurations and troubleshooting steps, any tracks changes and action taken which is essential for accountability and auditing purposes. A network engineer is expected to aid in quicker network troubleshooting by providing a reference for past issues and solutions.

Key responsibilities

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain all network hardware and software, including routers, switches (managed), firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points

Plan and execute network infrastructure upgrades and expansions to support growth and new technologies

Perform regular network maintenance, including firmware updates and hardware refreshments

Proactively monitor network performance, utilization, and security alerts using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar

Implement and manage network security

Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex network-related incidents and problems, providing root-cause analysis and permanent solutions

Create and maintain detailed, accurate network documentation: diagrams, IP address schematics, configurations, and standard operating procedures

Ensure network compliance with internal policies and relevant industry standards

Work with ISPs and telecom vendors to manage WAN circuits and resolve external service issues

About you

Minimum D3/S1 majoring Information Technology or Computer Science

At least 2 – 3 years of experience working with LAN, WAN, TCP-IP, firewall and switching/routing configuration and administration

Familiar or have experience in Network design, plan & implementation, network security, windows server, and linux server administration

Proficiency in using network diagnostic and monitoring tools during troubleshooting

Work well independently and in a team setting
