In 2026, the first The Serai Hotel & Resorts, the new luxury lifestyle brand of GHM, will be opening on the island of Belitung in Indonesia.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to join our pre opening and opening team.

Responsible for the management, implementation, and maintenance of all hotel technology systems and infrastructure. The IT Manager ensures that all systems run efficiently, securely, and support hotel operations without interruption.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and support all hotel IT systems including PMS (e.g., Opera, Protel), POS, back-office systems, guest internet access, VoIP, and email.

Monitor network infrastructure performance and ensure high availability.

Manage server environment, storage, backups, and disaster recovery systems.

Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

Escalate critical issues to vendors or corporate IT support when needed.

Ensure all systems comply with corporate policies, local regulations, and data privacy laws (e.g., PDPA or GDPR).

Implement cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, software updates, and data encryption.

Conduct regular audits of system access and usage.

Lead the installation and upgrade of systems or hardware.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for new technology initiatives.

Support renovation or pre-opening tech setup if applicable.

Prepare the IT budget and monitor expenditures.

Evaluate and recommend hardware/software purchases.

Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.

Train hotel staff on the proper use of IT systems and software.

Maintain up-to-date IT documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, and manuals.

Qualifications Required:

Pre Opening and opening experience is highly regarded .

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of IT experience in a hospitality environment.

Strong understanding of hotel systems (PMS, POS, accounting systems, booking engines, etc.).

Familiarity with network infrastructure, firewalls, switches, wireless APs, and Microsoft environments.

Excellent troubleshooting, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Strong spoken and written communication in [English and/or Bahasa Indonesia].
