A leading nightclub is seeking an IT Manager to oversee all technology systems critical to operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the optimal performance of POS, security, and network systems while leading initiatives in cybersecurity and vendor management. Responsibilities include maintaining uptime and providing technical support, requiring a Bachelor's in IT or related field and extensive hands-on experience in IT management.
The IT Manager for our premier nightclub is a critical operational leader responsible for the seamless functioning, maintenance, and strategic enhancement of all technology systems vital to our entertainment and business operations. This role demands a hands-on technical expert who can ensure the continuous availability and optimal performance of our Point-of-Sale (POS), CCTV, network, and administrative systems, especially during peak operating hours. The IT Manager will lead all IT initiatives, manage vendor relationships, ensure cybersecurity, and provide rapid, effective technical support to maintain our high-energy environment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Systems Management & Uptime: Ensure 24/7 uptime and optimal performance of all critical nightclub IT systems, including:
Point-of-Sale (POS) systems: Setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and daily operational support for all sales terminals and backend systems.
CCTV & Security Systems: Oversee installation, maintenance, and monitoring of all surveillance and access control systems.
Network Infrastructure: Administer and maintain robust wired and wireless networks capable of handling high traffic for staff and guest Wi-Fi.
Ticketing & Guest Management Systems: Support systems for entry, VIP bookings, and customer relationship management. Conduct proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance on all systems, often during off-hours. Develop and implement efficient IT operational workflows tailored to a high-volume, late-night environment.
2. Technical Support & Incident Response (On-Call Availability): Provide immediate, hands-on technical support for all hardware, software, and network issues that arise, especially during operational hours. Be available and responsive for critical IT emergencies, potentially requiring on-site presence during evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Troubleshoot complex technical problems quickly and effectively to minimize disruption to guest experience and revenue generation. Document all incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues for continuous improvement.
3. Infrastructure & Network Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual), workstations, and other IT hardware. Administer user accounts, permissions, and security settings across all relevant platforms. Manage and optimize network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) for security and performance. Oversee data backup, recovery, and storage solutions.
4. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and enforce stringent cybersecurity measures to protect POS data, customer information, and internal systems. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments specific to a payment-processing environment (e.g., PCI DSS compliance if applicable). Ensure all IT operations comply with local regulations and industry best practices. Manage and update antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection systems.
5. Vendor Management & Procurement: Manage relationships with IT vendors, particularly those specializing in nightclub-specific technologies (POS, AV, security). Procure, install, and configure new IT equipment and software.
6. IT Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the long-term IT strategy, identifying opportunities for technological upgrades and improvements. Assist in IT budget planning and cost optimization.
7.AI Optimization :Lead AI-Driven Digital Transformation project including design of real-time dashboards for marketing, operations, and finance
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are highly advantageous.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in IT administration or management, with at least 2 years specifically in a demanding, high-volume entertainment, hospitality.
Essential Experience: Proven expertise in supporting and troubleshooting Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
Strong background in network administration (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs) in high-density environments.
Experience with physical security systems (access control, alarm monitoring) is a significant plus.
