A leading automotive manufacturing company seeks an IT Manager to align IT strategy with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage enterprise-level IT systems, and implement cutting-edge technologies. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of IT management experience are essential.
Develop and execute the IT strategy to align with the company's overall goals, especially in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Manage the implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT systems and applications, including ERP, MES, and WMS.
Oversee the IT team, providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and cybersecurity protocols.
Collaborate with department heads (Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance) to identify and address their technology needs.
Implement and monitor IT policies, procedures, and best practices in line with manufacturing standards.
Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies such as IoT, SCADA integration, and Smart Factory concepts to drive continuous improvement.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
Proven track record in managing and optimizing enterprise-level IT systems and infrastructure, especially in shop floor integration.
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices (e.g., Industry 4.0, cloud computing, cybersecurity).
Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team of IT professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience working with MES, SCADA, PLC, and integration with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Familiar with the challenges of digital transformation in manufacturing environments.
Proficient in English (verbal and written); Japanese language skills are a plus (if applicable to your location).
Willing to be mobile and visit production sites as needed.
