RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Managing the day-to-day operational and project tasks within the IT Infrastructure team.
  2. Managing the IT Infrastructure staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance.
  3. Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  4. Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
  5. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  6. Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
  7. Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so they operate effectively.
  8. Generating performance reports for operating systems and the Service Desk function.
  9. Ensuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  10. Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  11. Keeping up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
  12. Demonstrating a deep technical and strategic understanding of the IT Services and Operations delivered by Sterling.
  13. Solving complex and diverse problems by continually re-evaluating new and conflicting factors.
  14. Managing internal and external communications and being the primary contact for escalation of business issues.
  15. Assisting with the management of relationships with external organizations and suppliers.

Your skills and experience
  • University graduate in Telecommunications, IT, or related majors.
  • Previous experience leading an operations management team within an IT capacity.
  • Proven knowledge and experience delivering technical support services.
  • Strive to deliver results and exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining data protection services, including security, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with hybrid environments including on-premises and cloud services.
  • Good attention to detail, improving process efficiency without sacrificing quality.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Ability to collaboratively solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Facilitation and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently or in a team, research new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain productive relationships with customers, subordinates, peers, and senior management.
