Analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes and retail systems (e.g., POS, inventory, CRM, e-commerce) by aligning technology with strategic retail objectives. The role ensures that technology investments directly support operational efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.
Job Description:
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in retail workflows, including point-of-sales (POS), customer service, inventory management, order fulfillment, and loyalty programs.
- Translate retail business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for IT solutions.
- Collaborate with store operations, marketing, e-commerce, and supply chain teams to streamline omnichannel operations.
- Gathering business requirement for retail IT projects (e.g., ERP upgrades, mobile apps, online storefronts).
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet retail operational goals.
- Monitor implementation of new systems across store networks and digital platforms.
- Act as a bridge between retail business units and IT development teams.
- Engage stakeholders across head office and store-level operations to capture business pain points and expectations.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical retail staff and vice versa.
- Propose and assess innovative solutions that enhance customer experience, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure consistent use of tools, documentation standards, and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Retail Management.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with a retail context (e.g., sales data, foot traffic trends).
- Ability to lead digital transformation and process automation in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Retail, Power BI, JIRA, and Visio.
