A wildlife conservation foundation in East Kalimantan is seeking an IT Administrator to manage IT systems and support local staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, at least 2 years of experience, and a passion for wildlife conservation. Yayasan Jejak Pulang, the ORANGUTAN FOREST SCHOOL in East Kalimantan, Indonesia is a foundation in close cooperation with FOUR PAWS International. The mission is to raise rescued orphaned orangutans so they can later be released back to the natural habitat, and to find ways for local communities to reconcile traditional values of sustainability with modern benefits.

We are looking for dedicated people to enrich our team. As an IT Administrator, you act as the primary interface between our local employees and the central IT department of FOUR PAWS. You serve as the local point of contact for all IT-related matters and are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of systems and processes on site. Your responsibilities include supporting IT projects, overseeing local technology implementations, resolving client issues, and actively engaging in communication with local service providers. You are also responsible for handling first-level support tasks such as hardware and software installation, user account management, and basic troubleshooting.
Your contribution will be:
Managing on-site IT hardware, network infrastructure, and software assets, including issue resolution and lifecycle tracking
Monitoring system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal reliability and uptime.
Ensuring close cooperation with the IT department of FOUR PAWS, including coordination of hardware and software purchases, participation in regular IT calls, maintenance of site-specific IT documentation, and acting as the first point of contact for IT issues, escalating to the IT team or external support providers when necessary (e.g. outside service hours).
Setting up ergonomic and IT-compliant workstations, ensuring proper hardware configuration and compliance to workplace health and safety guidelines.
Ensuring that new employees receive proper onboarding and training in the use of IT systems, tools, and security policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other relevant field
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as IT System Administrator or in similar role
Proficient of managing both wired and wireless computer networks;
Relevant professional experience in the operational management of Microsoft infrastructures (Microsoft 365)
Excellence knowledge of operating systems (Windows 11), networking protocols, and hardware components
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse and international team environment.
Ability to communicate in English

Willing to live to Samboja, East Kalimantan
