Job description

Responsible for scanning new technologies, concept of better ways of working in operations and ensure the adequate process of desk study and consultation to respective operations experts.

Job Description:

1. Identify and evaluate cutting-edge technology oil palm plantation or adoptable technology from other industries.
2. Develop new concepts that can add value creation for operations, including concepts from new ideas or existing practices in the oil palm plantation to be adapted to the company's conditions.
3. Conduct desk study and ensure it is on track as per detailed roadmap, resolving bottlenecks and issues when necessary.
4. Lead engagements with external tech partners (e.g., potential acquisition targets) and vendors – including due diligence, product evaluation, negotiations, ongoing performance management.
5. Filter and manage ad hoc outreach from external parties.
6. Monitor the development or procurement of new mechanization to be used in POC and trial/pilot phases.
7. Provide processes/protocols for trial/POC of initiatives.

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
2. 3 years of experience in business improvement, business process reengineering, and process excellence in the agriculture industry.
3. Fast learner.
