A leading company in renewable energy is seeking a qualified Strategic Analyst to drive M&A activities and align them with corporate strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree and at least two years of experience in renewable energy or corporate investment, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities include assessing M&A opportunities, negotiating transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Opportunity Evaluation: Assess the feasibility and attractiveness of potential M&A opportunities, considering various factors such as financials, synergies, risks, and regulatory implications.
Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and build relationships with potential targets, investment banks, and other stakeholders to create a robust pipeline of M&A prospects.
Due Diligence: Lead or participate in due diligence processes to evaluate the company's financial health, legal compliance, operational efficiency, and any potential risks or liabilities.
Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate the terms of M&A transactions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all M&A activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and liaise with legal and compliance teams to address any potential issues.
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the executive team to align M&A activities with the overall business strategy, corporate goals, and long-term vision.
Requirement
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business & management, finance, energy management or related field
Equivalent experience at least 2 years in renewable energy related field, or public consulting firm with role in corporate investment and M&A
Having good knowledge of renewable energy market (especially solar energy) and financial aptitude is required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). English written and communication skill is a must
Demonstrable experience both in creating and delivering pitches
Exceptional critical thinking skills, organized analytical, problem-solving, management, detail-oriented, and negotiation skills
Ability to travel when necessary in order to meet with clients and/or stakeholders
