Job summary

Stilt Studios seeks an Interior Designer to develop and detail fixed furniture and joinery for hospitality projects, and to prepare and maintain loose furniture schedules and specifications.

You will coordinate with design and project teams, architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is properly executed. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience and proficiency in SketchUp and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 1–3 years of interior design experience, hospitality preferred.
• Experience with furniture, joinery, FF&E, and detailing.

Job description

This role involves developing and detailing fixed furniture and joinery designs for hospitality projects, preparing and maintaining loose furniture schedules and specifications, and coordinating with design and project teams to ensure design intent is properly executed.

Key responsibilities

Develop and detail fixed furniture/joinery designs for hospitality projects

Prepare and maintain loose furniture schedules and sheet lists, including specifications and quantities

Coordinate SBO (Special/Small Brand/Owner-supplied) items with the design and project teams

Curate and coordinate hospitality decorations and styling elements, including accessories, artwork, soft furnishings, and decorative objects

Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is properly executed

About you

Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

1–3 years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably in hospitality, residential, or commercial projects

Experience with furniture, joinery, FF&E, and interior detailing preferred

Good working knowledge of SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling software

Proficient in AutoCAD/Layout and able to produce detailed interior drawings

Able to prepare furniture schedules, specifications, material boards, and presentation drawings

Able to read and coordinate architectural, MEP, and interior drawings

Strong understanding and interest in hospitality design and creating thoughtful guest experiences through materials, furniture, and detailing

Able to develop fixed furniture and joinery from concept through technical detailing

Able to coordinate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and vendors
