Job description

Our client, RHM Design & Construction Sdn Bhd, a company specializing in interior design and construction services based in Malaysia, is currently looking for talented professionals from Indonesia to join our growing team as Interior Designer.

Work Arrangement:

• During the probation period, work will be conducted remotely from Indonesia.
• Upon successful completion of the probation, the employee will be relocated to Malaysia for an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation – Understand client requirements and budget, and translate them into design concepts.
• Concept Development – Create design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for client approval.
• Space Planning – Plan efficient and ergonomic spatial layouts.
• Material & Finishes Selection – Select materials, furniture, and finishes that align with the project budget and design aesthetics.
• 3D Modelling & Rendering – Use software such as AiHouse, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion to visualize design concepts.
• Budget Management – Prepare project budgets and ensure the project runs within allocated costs.
• Technical Drawings – Produce technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Site Supervision – Conduct site visits when necessary to ensure the implementation aligns with design plans.
• Industry Trends – Stay updated with current interior design trends and new technologies.
• Reporting & Planning – Prepare reports and assist the team in achieving KPIs through effective work planning.
• Ad-hoc Tasks – Handle additional tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the interior design field.
• Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and AiHouse.
• Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and finishes.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Language: Able to communicate in Bahasa Melayu/Indonesian and basic English is acceptable.
