PT Agatos Multi Solusi is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Pneumatics System Engineer to support industrial projects involving process instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

You will design and select instruments, prepare P&IDs, perform calculations, calibrate equipment, and assist commissioning while adhering to ISA/IEC standards and local Indonesian regulations. This role offers growth within a Southeast Asia–based system integrator.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• Practical experience in industrial instrumentation design, installation, testing, calibration, or commissioning.
• Strong understanding of industrial sensors and measurement principles.
• Ability to read, prepare, and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Ability to prepare and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of flow, pressure, differential pressure, and other relevant process calculations.
• Understanding of instrument selection, sizing, datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Practical experience with instrument calibration and testing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and measurement problems.

Aufgaben

• 12) Design and review pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and schematics.
• 13) Calculate pneumatic air consumption, pressure, cylinder force, and actuator sizing.
• 14) Select pneumatic and hydraulic components based on requirements.
• 15) Calibrate, test, and commission instruments; perform loop checks and prepare certificates/reports.
• 16) Apply ISA/IEC/ISO standards and ensure compliance with Indonesian regulations.

Instrumentation Pneumatics System Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a competent and experienced INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER to support industrial engineering projects involving process instrumentation, measurement systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and instrumentation design.

The candidate must be capable of designing and selecting appropriate instruments and sensors based on process requirements, performing basic process and instrumentation calculations, preparing engineering drawings, and conducting instrument calibration, testing, and commissioning.

The role requires a strong understanding of industrial measurement principles, flow and pressure calculations, instrument selection, control valves, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and instrumentation documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instrumentation Engineering and Design:

Review process requirements and select suitable instruments and sensors for industrial applications.

Design instrumentation systems for flow, pressure, temperature, level, differential pressure, and other process parameters.

Determine appropriate measuring ranges, accuracy, operating conditions, materials, pressure ratings, and instrument specifications.

Prepare and review P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).

Prepare instrumentation drawings, including instrument hook-up drawings, installation details, instrument location plans, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams.

Prepare instrument datasheets, instrument indexes, and technical specifications.

Review vendor drawings and technical documentation.

Ensure that instrument selection and installation are suitable for actual process conditions.

2. Process Instrumentation and Sensor Selection:

Demonstrate practical knowledge of selecting, specifying, and applying sensors, transmitter, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic system

Understand the working principles, limitations, installation requirements, and application suitability of different measurement technologies.

3. Process and Instrumentation Calculations

Perform engineering calculations required for instrument selection and system design

4. Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems

Design and review pneumatic control systems for industrial machinery and process applications.

Prepare pneumatic circuit diagrams and pneumatic schematics.

Understand pneumatic components, including directional control valves, solenoid valves, cylinders, actuators, pressure regulators, filters, lubricators, and flow control valves.

Calculate pneumatic air consumption, operating pressure, cylinder force, and actuator sizing.

Design and review hydraulic circuits and hydraulic system schematics.

Perform basic hydraulic pressure, flow, force, and power calculations.

Select appropriate pneumatic and hydraulic components according to operating requirements.

5. Instrument Calibration, Testing and Commissioning

Perform calibration and functional verification of industrial instruments.

Understand calibration principles, measurement accuracy, repeatability, linearity, hysteresis, and instrument error.

Calibrate pressure transmitters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow instruments, and other measurement devices within their competence.

Use appropriate calibration equipment, including pressure calibrators, deadweight testers, multifunction calibrators, temperature calibrators, and electrical signal simulators.

Perform 4-20 mA signal verification and instrument functional testing.

Conduct instrument loop checks and verify measurement signals against engineering drawings and specifications.

Prepare calibration procedures, inspection checklists, and calibration certificates or reports.

Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site troubleshooting activities.

6. Engineering Standards and Safety

Understand applicable industrial instrumentation standards and engineering practices.

Apply relevant ISA, IEC, ISO, and other applicable international standards.

Understand relevant process piping and pressure equipment requirements where applicable.

Consider hazardous-area classification and appropriate instrument protection requirements when selecting equipment.

Understand pressure safety, instrument isolation, process connection requirements, and safe calibration procedures.

Ensure that instrumentation designs and installations comply with project specifications and applicable Indonesian regulations.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline.

Practical experience in industrial instrumentation design, installation, testing, calibration, or commissioning.

Strong understanding of industrial sensors and measurement principles.

Ability to read, prepare, and interpret P&ID drawings.

Ability to prepare and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Knowledge of flow, pressure, differential pressure, and other relevant process calculations.

Understanding of instrument selection, sizing, datasheets, and technical specifications.
