We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Manager to oversee the engineering aspects of the SAF project, from Licensor Coordination and FEED to EPC provisional acceptance and operations. The role involves transitioning to a technical authority during O&M, ensuring plant performance, troubleshooting, and supporting the operational phase.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience, with 10+ years in a Lead Instrumentation Engineering role.
- Expertise in FEED, EPC, site construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Strong knowledge of Instrumentation Safety, industry standards, and design documentation (P&IDs, Data Sheets, Instrument Lists).
- Operational and maintenance experience in refineries/petrochemical facilities, including CMMS (Maximo).
- Skilled in Condition Monitoring Techniques (CMT) and risk management.
- Proven ability in resource planning and contractor management.
- EPC ITB preparation and tender evaluation experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Negotiation, Microsoft Office).
- Proven leadership and resource management in large-scale projects.
Job Descriptions:
- Design Basis & Standards: Establish Instrumentation Design Basis (BoD) and Standards in collaboration with business and operational needs, including Value Engineering, Energy Optimization, and Predictive Maintenance.
- Licensor & FEED Management: Oversee licensor requirements, manage document reviews, and support FEED contractors in completing the ISBL FEED and EPC bidding process efficiently.
- OSBL & Utilities Design: Coordinate with licensors and contractors on the design of offsite and utility systems to meet operational and maintenance needs for the SAF plant.
- EPC Management: Review EPC documents, provide design-phase support, and participate in Quality Control and inspection activities as per the project schedule.
- Commissioning & Start-Up: Provide support for test procedures, witness test runs, and troubleshooting with licensors and contractors. Review operational procedures and safety reviews.
- Operations Support: Serve as the focal point for operational instrumentation support, including performance data analysis, adjustments, and managing external vendors for safe plant operation.
- Communications and Working Relationships:
- Internal: Collaborate with PMT on instrumentation issues; liaise with Head of Projects and SAF Engineering Manager on instrumentation needs.
- External: Coordinate with EPC/PMC, vendors, and contractors per the engineering execution plan.
