Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Indonesia is seeking an Instrument Construction Specialist with over 7 years of experience in medium/large projects. The role involves overseeing the Instrument construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and managing deliverables. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering and be fluent in English. This position is contract-based at the site office in Cilegon.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in petrochemical/oil & gas projects.
  • Competent in control & instrument discipline.
  • Experience with Instrument Standards: IEE, IEEC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage safe and quality execution of Instrument construction scope.
  • Guide EPC Contractor's Instrument activities and verify compliance.
  • Review Instrument project and vendor deliverables as per specifications.
  • Update Instrument discipline deliverables and support field engineering.
  • Develop recovery plans for schedule delays.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides Instrument construction, pre-comm/comm expertise for safe and good quality execution of the instrument Construction, PreComm and Commissioning scope of work in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule
  • Guides EPC Contractor's Instrument construction, pre-comm/comm activities, including vendors, subcontractor resources, personnel qualifications, usage of appropriate tools; adherence to project objectives, requirements, specifications, and verification processes.
  • Review Instrument project and vendor document deliverables (Instrument datasheet, calculation sheet, drawing, ITP etc.) as per project specification
  • Manages the Instrument discipline deliverables updates/relines and support field engineering where needed in support of construction, pre-comm/comm activities. Where needed, develop short term mitigation plans to achieve intermediate milestones and birding scope for final completions.
  • Responsible for following up and assuring schedule and related milestones are achieved, provides data, identify material & skills gaps, develop recovery plans to address any schedule delays if any.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (S1) in Instrument/Electrical/Psychic Engineering
  • Have minimum 7 years working experience in medium/large petrochemical/oil & gas/similar project (Medium/Large project)
  • Competent of working within the C& I (control & instrument) Discipline in Field instrument types and its applications in petrochemical industry.
  • Experience in use of Instrument Standard: IEE, IEEC.
  • Proven ability for equipment specification and selection and in ensuring compliance from the suppliers, preferably within an EPC contracting organization.
  • Proficient using computer application such as Ms. Office
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written

Willing to work as contract based (1,5 year), and this position will be placed at site office project.
