Role and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Ensure the organization’s networks and systems remain resilient against security threats.
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for signs of unusual activity or potential security threats.
- Identify vulnerabilities through regular security assessments and penetration testing.
- Work with IT and development teams to resolve vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches or incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring that security incidents are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Continuously monitor systems, networks, and applications for security threats using monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SIEM).
- Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure the organization is meeting security compliance standards.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to provide security awareness training for all staff.
- Continuously improve and refine security processes, staying ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
