Job Summary
Responsible for managing the hotel’s IT operations to ensure smooth, secure, and effective use of technology systems and infrastructure. The IT Manager oversees IT strategy implementation, maintains hardware and software, ensures data security, supports users, and coordinates with vendors to deliver reliable IT services that support the hotel’s operational and business goals.
Job Responsiblities
- Manage and maintain all hotel IT systems, including servers, networks, software, and communication tools.
- Ensure all technology operations follow corporate IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the hotel and corporate IT teams.
- Provide timely technical support to hotel departments and minimize downtime across operations.
- Oversee guest-facing technology such as Wi-Fi, in-room entertainment, and digital services.
- Monitor and support systems like the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and back-office platforms.
- Conduct routine system checks, perform backups, and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
- Support implementation of IT projects, upgrades, and new systems as directed by head office.
- Train and support hotel staff on using technology tools and systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to IT equipment and services.
- Maintain documentation and ensure local compliance with IT audits and reporting standards.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong working knowledge of hotel technology platforms (PMS, POS, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, data protection, and cybersecurity principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply corporate IT policies and align them with hotel operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both on-site teams and corporate departments.
- Availability for emergency support outside regular hours if required.
- Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
