About The Role

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.

Key Tasks

Technical Support

  1. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  2. Respond to queries either in person or over the phone
  3. Assist users with system access, password resets, and software installation
  4. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  5. Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
  6. Respond to email messages for users seeking help
  7. Install computer peripherals for users
  8. Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support

System Maintenance and Monitoring

  1. Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  2. Perform routine maintenance like software updates, antivirus scans, and system reboots

Documentation

  1. Maintain accurate records of issues and solutions for reference and knowledge base development
  2. Document procedures, FAQs, and guides to support end-users and internal staff

Qualifications

  1. Basic formation : Minimum High School in computer science
  2. Working knowledge of help desk software, databases and remote control

Skills

  1. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standard
  2. Strong MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) knowledge required
  3. Strong OS Windows XP/Vista/7 knowledge required
  4. Strong Network knowledge required
  5. Strong Mobile devices, Phone and Printer knowledge required
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills
  7. Display good attention to detail
