Job summary

A leading multinational company seeks a Manufacturing/Industrialization Engineer in Batam, Indonesia. You will design and develop manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with global standards while optimizing efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience, particularly in assembly processes and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Job description

Specify, design, and develop manufacturing process architecture according to the LADM (Line Architecture Design Methodology) and in alignment with OLM (Offer Lifecycle Management) and Lean manufacturing principles.

  1. Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies, utilizing Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies in collaboration with R&D teams.
  2. Collaborate with suppliers for equipment development and ensure compliance with Schneider global standards.
  3. Lead technical trials and tests to validate assembly technologies and support the installation and commissioning of equipment in manufacturing lines.
  4. Launch and qualify the assembly line within the industrialization budget, yield rate, and schedule by optimizing throughput rate and cycle time.
  5. Experience with automation lines and equipment is a plus.
  6. Lead PFMEA with the quality team.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  8. Train plant manufacturing teams and transfer industrial files to the plant.
  9. Optimize industrial performance by promoting digitization, late differentiation of products, and standardization.
  10. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, and enhance efficiency and quality in supply chain and manufacturing.
  11. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
  12. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing/Industrialization engineer focusing on assembly processes and equipment.
  13. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and assembly technologies.
  14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly adaptable to change.
  15. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  16. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  17. Hands-on experience with electronics products (such as PLC, drives, motion control) manufacturing operations is preferred.
  18. Hands-on experience in electrical/automation control proposal definition, detailed design, programming, and troubleshooting is preferred.
  19. Excellent abilities to interact with cross-functional teams.
  20. Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  21. Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages (e.g., Mandarin, Malay) are a plus.
