Industrial Electrician - Machinery, Utilities & Valve Systems

Job Purpose

To ensure the effective electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for all industrial machinery, utilities, and valve-related electrical systems. The role is crucial in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring safety, and supporting compliance with API and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for:

Machining Equipment: Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Pressing.

Welding Equipment: MILLER, ESSAB, KRISBOW.

Utility Systems: Air Compressors, Gensets, Pumps.

Painting & Sandblasting Booths.

Support electrical systems on valve testing and actuation equipment.

Diagnose and repair control systems, sensors, relays, and power supplies.

Perform wiring for motors, PLCs, electrical panels, and control circuits.

Conduct inspection and preventive maintenance in line with machine schedules.

Comply with API standards relevant to valve equipment and testing systems.

Keep records of maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Participate in equipment upgrades and electrical installation projects.

Collaborate with QA/QC and production to ensure compliance and minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

Minimum SMK (Vocational School) in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Preferred: Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's (S1) in Electrical Engineering.

Certifications (Mandatory)

Sertifikat K3 Listrik (Electrical Safety Certificate)

Licensed Industrial Electrician

PLC Training Certificate (Mitsubishi, Siemens, or equivalent – a plus)

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience with valve test benches, control systems, and electrical valve actuators is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and machine manuals.

Knowledge of motor control, VFDs, MCCs, and power distribution.

Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance records, and troubleshooting documentation.

Hands-on with multimeters, meggers, clamp meters, and panel diagnostics.

Added Advantage

Working knowledge of API standards and valve testing electrical systems.

Understanding of electrical actuators, limit switches, solenoid valves, and automation for valves.

Soft Skills

Analytical thinker with a hands-on approach.

Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

Good teamwork, communication, and adaptability.
