Job summary

Tripper Group in Indonesia seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation and electrical control systems across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on improving production performance through automation projects, machine integration, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives, including SCADA, PLC, and IoT technologies.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Schneider PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with troubleshooting VFDs, sensors, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (PPE, electrical codes, and OSHA standards).

Responsibilities

• Design control systems and automation for manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with users based on control and automation analysis and design results.
• Perform programming and simulation on control system applications implemented on machines.
• Provide training to users and internal engineers on the use of automation systems.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing systems through machine upgrades, automation projects, and implementation of modern technologies such as SCADA, PLC, and IoT.
• Manage end-to-end new machine procurement process, from sourcing and purchasing of equipment and spare parts, through installation and configuration, to commissioning and operational integration into production.
• Maintain proper documentation of electrical maintenance work and inspections.
• Work closely with maintenance technicians, process improvement, and production operators to resolve issues.
