Indonesia Finance, Accounting & Tax Lead

Position: Indonesia Finance, Accounting & Tax LeadLocation: Jakarta or Bali, IndonesiaReporting to: Group Financial Controller (APAC)

Seaplane Asia Group is pioneering premium seaplane and aviation services across Asia. We are looking for a Country Finance Accounting & Tax Lead for our Indonesian subsidiary. This is a stand-alone role, suitable for someone who is detail-oriented, independent, and comfortable handling both operational tasks and statutory compliance, while working closely with the Group HQ.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily accounting records including invoices, payments, and bank transactions.
  • Prepare monthly closing, reconciliations, and management reports in line with Indonesian standards and group requirements.
  • Take charge of tax compliance: monthly VAT (PPN), withholding tax, corporate income tax filings, and ensure accurate submissions through Coretax/e-SPT/e-Faktur.
  • Manage local payroll and BPJS reporting and contributions.
  • Handle payments to suppliers and collection from customers, ensuring proper documentation and cash flow control.
  • Coordinate with banks for settlements, foreign transfers, and reporting obligations (such as SIUL/KPPK when applicable).
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost monitoring, and provide financial insights to support the business.
  • Act as the local point of contact for finance-related matters and ensure alignment with group policies.
  • Take on ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting and tax in Indonesia, with exposure to both bookkeeping and compliance.
  • Knowledge of PSAK, Indonesian taxation (PPh, PPN), and BPJS regulations.
  • Brevet A & B certification preferred.
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Base location in Jakarta or Bali, with flexibility depending on business needs.
  • Independent, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
