Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and professional license to practice law in Indonesia is an advantage.
• Proven experience handling corporate, investment, and regulatory matters in Indonesia.
• Strong contract negotiation skills with drafting and negotiating commercial/investment agreements.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation and compliant contracts.
• Experience managing cross-border investments, fund structures, governance.
• Experience providing business-oriented legal advice to senior management and investment teams.
• Experience in investment firms, private equity, venture capital, or financial services is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and prioritization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• High ethical standards and ability to collaborate in multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate investment contracts, NDAs, shareholder agreements, and service agreements.
• Advise stakeholders on legal risks, regulatory developments, and structuring options.

Job description

This is a full-time Legal Counsel role based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows for some work-from-home flexibility. The Legal Counsel will provide day-to-day legal support on investment transactions, fund structures, and corporate matters, ensuring compliance with Indonesian and relevant international laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, such as investment contracts, NDAs, shareholder agreements, and service contracts
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, regulatory developments, and structuring options
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory authorities when needed
• Support internal policies and governance
• Contribute to due diligence on deals
• Help maintain robust documentation standards across the organization

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and professional license to practice law in Indonesia is an advantage
• Strong foundation in Law with proven experience handling corporate, investment, and regulatory matters in Indonesia
• Demonstrated skills in Contract Negotiation, including drafting and negotiating commercial and investment agreements
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including clear, accurate, and compliant contracts and corporate documentation
• Ability to identify, assess, and manage Legal Issues related to cross-border investments, fund structures, and corporate governance
• Experience providing practical, business-oriented Legal Advice to senior management and investment teams
• Experience in investment firms, private equity, venture capital, or financial services is highly beneficial
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
