We are looking for a new team member who can design creative strategies to monitor and manage the impact of our ventures on nature.

Key Objectives

  • Design and implement an impact monitoring framework: Create a dashboard to track and visualize the environmental and social outcomes of Terratai’s portfolio and support our reporting to partners and investors.
  • Conduct data-driven research: Lead research efforts to measure and analyze impacts on biodiversity, ecosystems, and local communities.
  • Develop & manage data systems: Collect, map, and maintain datasets related to environmental metrics and biodiversity indicators.
  • Support investment strategies: Propose innovative solutions, such as ecosystem service valuation, carbon emission reduction methods, or incentives for sustainable practices into our investment assessment process.

Specific Expertise

  • Masters level education or equivalent in conservation science, ecology, biology or related fields.
  • At least 5 years work experience in relevant fields, with experience of establishing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and research study design.
  • A good understanding of current best practice, tools and indicators for the measurement of nature and biodiversity impact, including but not limited to, carbon, biodiversity, ecosystem services, GHG mitigation and avoidance .
  • A passion to solve conservation challenges in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
  • Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing (desirable).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
