Job summary

PT Adi Teknik Karya Bakti in Jakarta seeks an experienced HVAC Engineer to design, implement, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of HVAC design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT, and strong communication in Indonesian and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional HVAC design/engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC components, refrigeration cycles & thermodynamics.
• Proficiency in CAD tools: AutoCAD, REVIT; familiarity with HVAC modelling software.
• Experience with energy simulation and thermal analysis; knowledge of local Indonesian codes & ISO/ASHRAE.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; strong communication in Indonesian and English.

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
• Perform feasibility studies and thermal load calculations for proper sizing.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD tools.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join PT Adi Teknik Karya Bakti in Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our mechanical engineering division, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects. As HVAC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal climate control solutions that meet both client specifications and regulatory standards, contributing directly to the success of our engineering projects and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, ensuring compliance with local and international standards

Conduct feasibility studies and thermal load calculations to determine appropriate system sizing and configurations

Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and engineering tools

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems within larger building projects

Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure they operate according to design specifications

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC system performance and efficiency

Conduct maintenance assessments and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems

Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company quality benchmarks

Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff

Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout all phases of system development

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HVAC design and engineering

Strong knowledge of HVAC system components, refrigeration cycles, and thermodynamic principles

Proficiency in CAD software and HVAC design tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or specialist HVAC modelling software

Experience with building energy simulation software and thermal analysis tools

Solid understanding of local Indonesian building codes and international standards (ISO, ASHRAE)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical design work

Strong communication abilities in both Indonesian and English, with capacity to liaise with diverse stakeholders

Professional certification or membership with engineering regulatory bodies (such as PII or equivalent) is highly desirable

Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
