Overview
PT. ICF Vista International was founded in 2018. The company is located in Bintang Industrial Park II Blok F No. 761, Tanjung Uncang District, Batam City. As part of the ICF group in Singapore, the company engages in ship property and specializes in contractors for changing rooms, ceilings, main decks, and related work. The company has expertise in new building, modernization, conversion, maintenance for cruise ships, ferries, support vessels, and other specialized marine vessels.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC system layouts (ventilation, air conditioning, extraction) based on vessel specifications and project scope.
- Perform heat load and airflow calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection in line with marine and IMO standards.
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for HVAC systems using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Collaborate with Designers, M&E consultants, and shipyard engineering teams for coordinated services.
- Perform material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement with technical specifications and quantities.
- Review and interpret HVAC-related sections of ship specifications, classification society rules, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design intent.
- Support procurement by preparing equipment data sheets, technical evaluations, and vendor coordination.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving piping-related issues during construction and sea trials.
- Participate in commissioning, testing, and handover of HVAC systems.
- Maintain proper documentation and provide engineering input for variation orders, RFIs, and technical submittals.
- Ensure all HVAC design and installation work adheres to project timelines, budgets, and ICF’s quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and contribute to ICF’s safety culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC engineering experience, preferably in the marine or offshore sector.
- Prior involvement in cruise ship or yacht refit/fit-out projects.
- Exposure to green ship technologies (energy-efficient HVAC, refrigerant compliance).
- Experience coordinating with international clients.
- Familiarity with marine HVAC codes (IMO, SOLAS, ABS, DNV,).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other BIM tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of airflow, thermodynamics, and HVAC system balancing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Willingness to travel to shipyards, dry docks, or vessel sites as needed.
