Overview

Design, develop, and review HVAC systems for onshore and offshore facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, or FPSO platforms. Perform heat load calculations, ducting design, and equipment sizing in compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, API, etc.). Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and engineering drawings for HVAC equipment. Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and vendor document reviews. Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and project-specific requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, piping, civil, and instrumentation). Provide technical support during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning stages.

  • Strong knowledge of international HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, API, ISO, NFPA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools (HAP, Carrier, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications, explosion-proof design, and HVAC requirements.
  • Experience with vendor interface and reviewing technical submissions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills for coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with offshore platforms, LNG plants, FPSOs, or refineries.
  • Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and energy efficiency optimization.
  • Certification in HVAC (e.g., ASHRAE membership) is an advantage.
