Job summary

ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta invites Indonesian citizens or ASEAN nationals to apply for the Officer for Human Rights Division role within the Political-Security Directorate. The position offers a three-year fixed-term contract, probation period included, reporting to the Division heads and coordinating with CSOs and internal teams.

Key duties include supporting meetings, project proposals, budget management, and communications with CSOs, while ensuring compliance with ASEAN guidelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge and experience in human rights are required.
• Ability to plan and organise tasks with attention to deadlines.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities on human rights topics.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to meetings under the Division’s purview.
• Assist in the implementation of AICHR’s programmes and activities.
• Provide technical and administrative assistance to applications of CSOs for consultative relationship with AICHR.
• Provide technical advice, recommendations, and administrative support.
• Assist in cross-pillar and cross-sectoral coordination on human rights.
• Any other matters as directed by the Division.
