Job description

As Human Resources Manager, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them, aligning with our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsibility, caring, fun, quirkiness, and pioneering wellness.

I will safeguard these pillars through strategic planning and development, ensuring all directives, practices, and initiatives are effectively implemented, embraced, and adopted within the hotel/resort.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Human Resources Manager, I will support and oversee the efficient operation of the HR department to deliver exceptional products and services aligned with brand standards. My key role will include assisting the Director of Human Resources in developing and implementing the resort’s HR plans, including manpower, benefits, payroll, training, induction, and host engagement initiatives.

The duties include:

  • Supporting recruitment, host ratios, succession planning, career development (MDPs), conducting host satisfaction surveys, formulating corrective actions, organizing host meetings and awards, championing performance management (G&O), analyzing host turnover, updating job descriptions, and maintaining confidential host files.
  • Conducting salary and benefits surveys, making competitive recommendations in line with local statutes.
  • Managing host accommodation, facilities, restaurant, the host committee, career fairs, and other host activities.
  • Leading social and environmental initiatives in coordination with the Sustainability Director and partner organizations.
  • Focusing on talent management and continuously assessing HR practices for relevance and effectiveness.
  • Promoting a cost-conscious approach through training and education.
  • Ensuring legal, statutory, and financial compliance, including documentation, reporting, security, safety protocols, communication standards, and budget controls, to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Human Resources Manager position, candidates should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field, with over five years of experience in a similar luxury hotel HR role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR/payroll systems; ADP/Timesaver experience is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Indonesian citizenship.
  • Relevant certifications for the role.
