Job description
Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSSE) Manager Indonesia

This position will form part of Cleantech Solars Projects Team in Indonesia and the incumbent will report to the Regional HSSE Manager with a dotted line reporting to Indonesia Head of Operations. The primary purpose of the role will be to deliver Goal Zero HSSE performance in solar projects and operations in Indonesia.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Guiding, supporting and facilitating ownership, implementation and improvement of HSSE requirements including workplace safety, personal safety, asset integrity and management of health, security and environmental hazards for construction as well as O&M sites
  • Assisting and assuring contractors compliance with HSSE plans and programmes
  • Ensuring implementation of the risk management process at Cleantech Solar locations
  • Compiling HSSE performance data and submitting weekly/monthly report to the Regional HSSE Manager
  • Tracking and supporting Projects/O&M team and contractors to achieve HSSE KPIs
  • Registering all incidents in Cleantech Solar incident database, performing investigations, contributing to Contractors investigations to understand the causes and influencing factors
  • Carrying out and documenting routine HSSE inspections and facilitating management HSSE tours
  • Planning and carrying out routine site visits, HSSE coordination meetings with all contractors, participating in routine coordination meetings with construction as well as O&M
  • Ensuring contractors training and awareness programs are carried out as planned
  • Conducting and delivering HSSE induction and awareness sessions
  • Reviewing HSSE Plan and Method Statements including risk assessments, JSA etc. and ensuring that contractors involve workers in Job Safety Analyses
  • Liaising with regard to social aspects with Cleantech E&S Manager as required through Regional HSSE Manager (line manager) and assisting with monitoring contractors implementation of social and environmental requirements
  • Leading HSSE resources of EPC/O&M contractors
  • Supporting implementation of improvement programmes such as Life Saving Rules, Emergency Response, HSSE training programmes like Safety Leadership, Safety Supervision Programme, Worksite Hazard Management and control of work
  • Actively participating in HSSE audits, training and incident investigations
  • Providing support and coordinating HSSE Meetings with Cleantech Solar project execution / O&M team with client/s as required.
  • Providing support for implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HSSE related legal compliance
Requirements
  • Engineering Diploma/Graduate with adequate HSSE qualifications/accreditation
  • 3+ years of work experience as an HSSE professional in renewable energy/Oil & Gas /power sector utilities/consulting firms etc.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter with a can do attitude
  • Able to work with limited supervision and deliver results within challenging deadlines and under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills, analytical skills and emotional stability
  • Experience in delivering HSSE training, performing HSSE audits and incident investigation
  • Meeting the qualification requirements of Safety Officer as required by local law will be added advantage
Location

Job location for the above position is in Indonesia and may require travel to various Cleantech Solar sites and locations across Southeast Asia and India
