HSE Supervisor – Petrochemical Projects

Job Summary:

The HSE Supervisor is responsible for implementing and monitoring the health, safety, and environmental management systems on petrochemical project sites. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, client standards, and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Site HSE Oversight:
    • Supervise day-to-day HSE activities on the project site.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
    • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices by all personnel.
  2. Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain all HSE records, including incident reports, safety checklists, permits, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE laws and petrochemical industry standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  3. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential hazards and implement risk control measures.
    • Lead job safety analysis (JSA) and hazard identification (HAZID) processes.
    • Oversee the implementation of emergency response plans and drills.
  4. Training & Awareness:
    • Conduct HSE inductions for new staff and subcontractors.
    • Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
    • Promote a strong safety culture among the workforce.
  5. Incident Management:
    • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
    • Provide recommendations and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Coordination & Reporting:
    • Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies regarding HSE matters.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC (if have), OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the petrochemical or oil & gas industry.
  • Required Indonesian Passport Holder.
  • Placement: Cilegon (resident).
Skills & Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of petrochemical project risks and HSE protocols.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in high-risk environments.
  • Familiarity with HSE software and data reporting tools is an advantage.
