Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Health & Safety Lead for data center projects in Batam. You will promote health and safety communication between staff and managers, raise issues and assist in risk mitigation and compliance across sites.

Required: degree in construction or project management, 15+ years experience with 5 years in data centers, IOSH or NEBOSH, strong leadership and English fluency. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in construction, project management or similar function.
• At least 15 years experience, with 5 years in data centers.
• IOSH or NEBOSH certificate held.
• Excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Promote communication of health and safety matters between employees and local managers.
• Raise H&S issues and recommendations for improvement.
• Inform management of unsafe acts and assist in preventing hazards.
• Assist H&S decision making on location specific matters.
• Coordinate and monitor health & safety management arrangements.
• Monitor compliance via mandatory e-learning training.
• Input office compliance information into the health & safety database.
• Assist with H&S risk assessments and audits where qualified.
• Review legal obligations and compliance checks with management.
• Record accident, incident and near miss information.
• Support Global H&S campaigns in the office.
