Job summary

Layo Wood Indonesia is seeking a Safety Officer (K3) to manage workplace health and safety at our Cirebon site in West Java. You will lead inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

The ideal candidate holds Ahli K3 Umum certification or equivalent, understands HIRADC/HIRARC, JSA, SOP, and SMK3, and can conduct risk analyses, investigations, and emergency preparations.

Qualifications

• Certification as Ahli K3 Umum (General Safety Expert) or equivalent.
• Understanding of HIRADC/HIRARC, JSA, SOP, and SMK3.
• Ability to conduct risk analysis, communication, and coordination.
• Capable in accident investigation and hazard control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas, machinery, PPE, and safety equipment.
• Assess risks and hazards to prevent workplace accidents.
• Ensure workers comply with safety procedures and SOPs.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and K3 training.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure emergency preparedness including fire safety and evacuation routes.
• Create inspection and incident reports and K3 documentation.
• Support implementation of SMK3 and applicable K3 regulations.

Job description

Safety Officer responsible for workplace health and safety (K3) management, inspection, hazard identification, and incident investigation to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Inspect work areas, machinery, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety equipment

Assess risks and hazards to prevent workplace accidents

Ensure workers comply with safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP)

Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and K3 education and training

Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents and determine corrective actions

Ensure emergency preparedness including fire extinguishers, evacuation routes, and fire procedures

Create inspection reports, incident reports, and K3 documentation

Support implementation of occupational health and safety management systems (SMK3) and applicable K3 regulations

About you

Certified as Ahli K3 Umum (General Safety Expert) by Kemnaker or equivalent as required by company

Understanding of HIRADC/HIRARC, JSA, SOP, and SMK3

Ability to conduct risk analysis, communication, and coordination

Capability in accident investigation and hazard control
