Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids seeks a seasoned HSE Specialist to lead health, safety and environmental programs. The role covers audits, incident investigations, training, and regulatory reporting across manufacturing settings.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–8 years’ HSE experience, with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of driving compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, safety or related field required.
• 5–8 years in HSE roles in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience with audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Emergency planning and HSE risk assessment experience.
• Environmental compliance knowledge and IH fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HSE inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes.
• Develop and deliver HSE training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement preventive actions.
• Prepare HSE reports for regulators and management.
• Collaborate with departments to embed HSE in projects and operations.
• Maintain HSE documentation including policies, risk assessments, and permits.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement best practices.
• Contribute to emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness and engagement.
