We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated HR Specialist to join our dynamic team in Jakarta to support our internal and client-facing operations in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Manage and execute the end-to-end monthly payroll process, including benefits, bonuses, and allowances for both internal and client employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Employee & BPJS Management: Maintain and update the employee ledger. Handle all aspects of BPJS Kesehatan (Health Insurance) and BPJS Ketenakerjaan (Social Security) administration, including new registrations, amendments, and terminations.
- Tax Compliance: Responsible for the accurate monthly calculation and reporting of employee income tax (PPh 21) in compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
- Policy Research & Knowledge Contribution: Proactively monitor, research, and interpret the latest updates on Indonesian labor laws, tax regulations, and social security policies. Consolidate findings into the team's internal knowledge base.
- Recruitment Support (Future Growth): As the role evolves, provide support in developing and executing local, low-cost recruitment strategies and channels when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must-Haves:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, which must include at least 6 consecutive months of hands‑on payroll and benefits calculation experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) or higher.
- Languages: Native proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and business fluency in Mandarin Chinese (HSK Level 4 or equivalent is required).
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with proven skills in using VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and complex nested functions for payroll processing.
- Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points):
- Networking: Well-connected within the Jakarta HR community, with the ability to quickly gather information on policy changes and best practices.
- A degree in Law, Human Resources, or Psychology.
- Good reading and writing skills in English (equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or above).
- In-depth knowledge of PPh 21 calculation, annual reporting, and Indonesian tax regulations.
- Experience in managing employee benefit claims such as JKK (Work Accident Security) and JKM (Death Security).
- Prior experience liaising directly with government agencies such as the Tax Office (KPP), BPJS, and the Ministry of Manpower.
- Familiarity with local recruitment channels and a proven track record of successfully recruiting 3+ local employees.
