A leading globally recognized manufacturer of hygiene products is seeking an HR & General Affairs Manager to establish and oversee HR and administrative systems in Indonesia. This role requires a seasoned professional fluent in English and Mandarin, with extensive experience in HR within MNC settings. Ideal candidates will thrive in early-stage environments, adept at managing cross-cultural teams and compliance with local labor laws.
Our client is a globally recognized manufacturer of hygiene products with operational headquarters in Asia and a presence in over 80 international markets. Backed by vertically integrated production capabilities and a deep commitment to sustainability, the company supports innovation in baby care, feminine hygiene, adult care, pet care, and protective solutions. As part of its global expansion, the company is establishing operations in Indonesia to serve key regional markets more effectively.
This position will be crucial to setting up and running the HR, administration, and foundational financial systems of the new Indonesian entity. It is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who thrives in early-stage environments, has experience with cross-border teams (especially with Chinese headquarters), and possesses strong organizational and regulatory navigation skills.
Human Resources:
Manage post-registration compliance (BPJS, tax, permits).
Lead full-cycle local hiring and onboarding.
Draft labor contracts and enforce compliance with Indonesian labor law.
Handle payroll coordination, employee relations, and performance processes.
Administration & Finance Support:
Coordinate office location, leasing, setup, and vendor contracts.
Support finance team with reconciliations, reimbursements, and bank operations.
Safeguard critical legal documents and licenses.
Cross-Cultural Communication:
Bridge communication between Indonesian and Chinese teams.
Guide teams on local culture and practices.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in HR/Admin roles, ideally within MNC or Chinese-invested firms.
Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
Expertise: Knowledge of Indonesian labor law, tax regulation, and corporate licensing.
Professional Traits: High EQ, proactive problem-solving, and operational resilience.
