A leading global company in the engineering machinery and construction equipment industry is looking for an experienced HR Director to join our client team in Papua New Guinea. This role will be responsible for leading the Human Resources function and aligning people strategies with business objectives to support growth in the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support company objectives and expansion in Papua New Guinea.
  • Lead and oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain effective HR policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Manage industrial relations, including negotiation and administration of Collective Labor Agreements (CLA).
  • Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement.
  • Provide strategic HR advice to senior management on workforce planning, organizational culture, and change management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 15 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 8 years in senior HR leadership roles.
  • Strong background in engineering machinery, heavy equipment, construction, or mining industries.
  • Proven expertise in HR systems, industrial relations, and people development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in multicultural environments.
  • Willingness to relocate and work in Papua New Guinea.
