Job summary

Hilton is seeking an Engineering Technician to support maintenance of hotel infrastructure—power, water, heating, cooling, and safety systems. You will assist the Engineering department and train apprentices, ensuring equipment is in good working order and records are accurately kept.

The role requires willingness to work day and night shifts, strong responsibility, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving to restore services quickly and reliably.

Qualifications

• Familiar with operation principles of large data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, fire/safety, security, monitoring, network).
• Willing to work day and night shifts long term.
• Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork; learns quickly.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure normal operation of hotel power, water, gas, heating, and cooling equipment.
• Inspect equipment operation records and shift handover logs.
• Maintain equipment and facilities under your jurisdiction.
• Manage energy use and implement efficiency measures.
• Support maintenance for banquets and meetings and ensure related equipment functions.
• Regularly test generator performance for power outages.
• Supervise hotel fire preventive works and address violations.
• Train and supervise technicians and apprentices.
• Manage tools and track usage; enforce discipline as needed.
