Hostel Warden

Job Summary:
The Warden is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, and well-being of foreign workers residing in the hostel. The role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining order, and providing necessary support to residents while upholding hygiene and security standards.

Job Function:

1. Responsible for the foreign worker’s discipline in the hostel and ensure workers adhere to hostel company policies and rules & regulations.
2. To ensure the general well-being of the residents which includes cleanliness, health, housekeeping, all maintenance issues, safety and security.
3. To conduct patrolling at the hostel from time to time including inspection / spot checks.
4. Setup of new hostel including furniture and its necessities for new workers.
5. To provide effective security and safety coverage of the facilities and premises against intrusion on unauthorized entries.
6. Protecting company equipment and properties against acts of vandalism, theft or sabotage.
7. Monitoring any hostel maintenance work and repairs to ensure good quality work.
8. Assisting HR staff on any matters related to employees and hostels.
9. Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirement:

1. Prior experience in hostel or facility management is an advantage.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, preferably with multilingual ability.
3. Knowledge of foreign worker regulations and cultural sensitivity.
4. Ability to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts effectively.
5. Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting.
