A Chef de Partie is responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting with food cost controls.

What will I be doing?

A Chef de Partie will supervise staff and ensure high standards of food preparation. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all food preparation meets standards
  • Prepare and present high-quality food
  • Maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination
  • Prepare mis-en-place for relevant menus
  • Respond to guest queries promptly and efficiently
  • Ensure quality and proper storage of foodstuffs
  • Contribute to cost control and departmental financial targets
  • Assist other departments and maintain good relationships
  • Train staff in company procedures alongside the Head Chef/Sous Chef
  • Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Comply with security, fire, health, and food safety regulations
  • Be environmentally conscious
What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie experience
  • Valid trade qualification in commercial cookery
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability to motivate teams
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

Preferred additional skills include:

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene
  • Knowledge of current food trends
