About the role

As the Head Workshop Furniture at PT Kesuma Bangun Persada (Bentuk Ruang), you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the furniture workshop. This is a full-time position based in Denpasar, Bali. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of custom furniture pieces that align with the company's design aesthetic and client requirements.

What you'll be doing

Manage and supervise the furniture workshop team, including carpenters, upholsterers, and finishers

Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards

Collaborate closely with the design team to translate conceptual designs into functional, well-crafted furniture pieces

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process and implement solutions to maintain quality and efficiency

Continuously explore ways to improve workshop operations, including optimizing workflows, implementing new techniques, and sourcing high-quality materials

Ensure strict adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop

Provide regular updates and progress reports to the management team

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role, leading a furniture production workshop

Proven track record of managing a team of skilled craftspeople and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment

Strong technical knowledge of furniture construction, upholstery, and finishing techniques

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges

Proficient in reading and interpreting design plans and technical drawings

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with design, production, and management teams
