Job description

The Head of Trade Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing effective trade marketing strategies to drive sales growth and market share for Otsuka. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG market, customer needs, competitive landscape, and ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns across all channels (GT, MT, New Channel Development).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute integrated trade marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives.
  2. Develop and manage trade marketing budgets effectively by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and making necessary adjustments.
  3. Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key customers, including retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
  4. Lead and manage a team of trade marketing professionals.
  5. Develop and execute innovative in-store marketing programs and ensure effective execution of in-store programs across all channels.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the impact of in-store marketing programs on sales performance.
  7. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful trade marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Good experience with CRM systems and marketing automation tools and good knowledge of market research methodologies.
  • Experience in handling more than 5 subordinates in a department.
