Job summary

Techconnect is seeking a senior cybersecurity technology leader to define and execute the company-wide security strategy. You will lead SOC operations, incident response, and threat monitoring while delivering premium services across VAPT, red teaming, and cloud security.

The role requires deep expertise in security architecture, governance and cross-functional leadership to drive innovation and client success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology and cybersecurity with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead SOC, incident response, and MSSP-like operations.
• Strong cloud security, SIEM/SOAR, IAM/PAM, EDR/XDR expertise.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company's technology and cybersecurity strategy aligned with overarching business goals. Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technology and cybersecurity teams.
• Operations & Defense: Lead and oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, threat monitoring, and cyber defense operations.
• Service Delivery: Manage the delivery of premium cybersecurity services, including VAPT, red teaming, cloud security, and managed security services.
• Architecture & Innovation: Design and maintain a secure, scalable, and resilient technology infrastructure and security architecture. Drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across security operations and platforms.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic advisor to enterprise and government clients on cybersecurity risks, solutions, and best practices. Support business growth through technical pre-sales, solution architecture, executive presentations, and customer engagement.
• Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce cybersecurity governance, policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, etc.).
• Vendor & Asset Management: Manage strategic partnerships, technology vendors, budgets, and cybersecurity investments.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in technology and cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a dedicated leadership role.
• Core Domain Expertise: Proven experience managing a SOC, incident response, cybersecurity operations, or working within a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) environment.
• Technical Depth: Strong expertise in cloud security, SIEM/SOAR, network security, IAM/PAM, EDR/XDR, and security architecture with deep understanding of threat detection, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and cyber risk management.
• Frameworks & Standards: Hands-on experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls.
• Consulting & Delivery: Experience leading cybersecurity consulting, enterprise security projects, or client-facing engagements.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Certifications (Preferred): Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Technology Stack (Advantageous): Familiarity with tools such as Google SecOps, Mandiant, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, or Splunk.
