The Head of Talent Management plays a critical role in shaping organizational culture, future leadership, and workforce capabilities to support sustainable growth and innovation.

The Role

As the Head of Talent Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing talent strategies that support the company’s growth and organizational needs. You will lead initiatives across performance management, leadership development, employee engagement, and learning programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in HR and organizational development, who can also roll up their sleeves to build programs from the ground up. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the company fosters a high-performing, inclusive, and people-first culture.

Key Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition

Lead and execute hiring initiatives while building the internal talent acquisition capability or managing external partnerships to ensure a strong talent pipeline.

Actively drive recruitment for strategic roles across functions.

Build or scale a talent acquisition team or collaborate with hiring partners.

Lead workforce planning and forecasting aligned with business needs.

Oversee employer branding and candidate experience.

Monitor quality-of-hire, time-to-fill, and other hiring KPIs.

Design and implement talent strategies aligned with the company’s growth and transformation roadmap.

Develop competency frameworks and job architecture.

Analyze organizational talent gaps and recommend solutions.

Lead implementation of strategic talent initiatives across departments.

Create executive-level dashboards and reports for decision-making.


Performance Management

Driving a performance culture with measurable outcomes and data-driven evaluation systems.

Design and manage end-to-end performance review cycles.

Establish a culture of ongoing feedback and coaching.

Train managers on performance conversations and goal-setting.

Integrate performance with development and rewards.

Leadership Development & Succession Planning

Identify and grow future leaders while ensuring continuity in critical roles.

Run talent reviews and succession planning cycles.

Build leadership development pathways and mentoring programs.

Create fast-track programs for high-potential talent.

Monitor succession coverage for all key positions.


Learning & Development

Build a continuous learning culture and structured capability-building programs.

Lead design and deployment of core and role-based Learning & Development initiatives.

Work with department leaders to identify learning needs.

Explore utilizing LMS platforms and tools depending on the relevancy and needs.

Measure training impact and iterate for effectiveness.

Employee Engagement & Retention

Enhance employee experience to drive satisfaction, motivation, and long-term retention.

Design and deploy employee engagement surveys.

Analyze feedback and create targeted action plans.

Promote initiatives around recognition, well-being, and career growth.

Monitor and improve retention metrics.


Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

Foster an inclusive and equitable work environment where diverse talents thrive.

Set DEI goals and drive inclusive hiring and development practices.

Provide training on unconscious bias and inclusive leadership.

Collaborate with leaders to ensure equitable opportunities.

Monitor and report on DEI metrics and impact.

Qualifications


Must Haves

Strong background in HR and talent management, with proven experience in setting up talent strategies, structures, and development programs.

Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in HR or talent-related roles.

Demonstrated success in developing and leading performance and engagement initiatives.

Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization.

Highly Preferred

Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.

Exposure to diverse and multicultural teams — excellent English communication skills required.

Past experience in technology companies or fast-evolving industries.

Background in companies of varied sizes, e.g., <30, 30–50, 50–100 employees — able to scale and adapt processes accordingly.
