Head of School (HoS)

The Head of School (HoS) leads teams of teachers and support staff to educate the children of international families primarily in an English-speaking environment, aiming to develop academic competence, maturity, and cultural sensitivity in a Christ-centered environment at an affordable cost. As the CEO, this role reports to the School Board and is accountable for implementing the mission of the school as defined in the Board policies. The Head of School is the “face” of the school, representing the school to the Indonesian government, the local Indonesian community, the school staff, students, and their families.

Founded to serve the families of expatriates living in Indonesia, this school is a K-12 boarding and day school with an enrollment of approximately 230 students from many countries and backgrounds. The school is located in a beautiful, semi-rural area close to the center of a major central region of Indonesia.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • MA or higher in the field of Education required
  • Experience and training as school administrator in an American curriculum context
  • Experience with or ability to learn and operate within the Carver Model of Policy Governance
  • International and cross-cultural Christian service experience
  • Native speaker of English
  • Achievement of Indonesian language competency within 2 years of employment
  • Under the age of 55 years (This is an Indonesian immigration criteria for a work visa.)
