Responsibilities:
- Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance of the company with Indonesian laws, regulations, and their internal policies.
- Provide legal counsel to the Board of Directors and Management, including guidance on business transactions and strategic decisions.
- Oversee all regulatory affairs, licensing, land ownership, and interactions with government agencies and authorities.
- Monitor legislative changes, manage legal risks, and coordinate external legal counsel where necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, local communities, land offices, public authorities, and educational institutions.
- Support compliance procedures, assist in handling IUP and RKAB-related matters, and ensure timely permit applications and renewals.
- Manage and develop the Regulatory Affairs function, including team leadership, performance development, and budget oversight.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent legal education.
- MA or BSc in Business Administration is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior legal, regulatory, or public affairs role.
- Preferably with experience in a multinational company.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian legal systems, especially relating to land ownership, permits, and licenses.
- Strong understanding of how legal and regulatory matters impact company operations and strategy.
- Ability to assess external environmental influences on regulatory obligations (e.g., plant and quarry permits).
- High level of professional ethics, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to find practical solutions and drive them to completion under pressure.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
- Proven people management and delegation skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate and influence bureaucratic systems within both corporate and governmental environments.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in Indonesian and English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel as required for stakeholder engagement, government coordination, or site visits.
