Job description

KAIA is an Indonesian distributor, exporter, importer and processor of a wide range of quality fish and seafood. KAIA takes pride in the relationships we have built with local fishing communities and operate various processing plants with state-of-the-art cold storage facilities throughout Indonesia to ensure we get as close to the source as possible.

About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join PT Kaia Anugerah Indonesia as a Head of HR. In this contract role, you will play a key part in supporting the HR function and contributing to the overall success of the organisation based in our head office in Central Jakarta.

What you'll be doing

  1. Set up and update HR corporate policies.
  2. Set up HR department in new factories including project plan for opening, budget and recruitment.
  3. Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop and implement HR strategies and budget aligned with business objectives.
  4. Oversee all recruitment activities in accordance with budget and ensuring employee profiles are aligned with established standards.
  5. Personally take charge of recruitment of all management team members.
  6. Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and documentation, to support continuous improvement and employee experience.
  7. Lead, manage and develop the HR team in all business units/plants.
  8. Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to develop and implement a comprehensive employee development program.
  9. Implement a performance evaluation framework, develop career development training plans focusing on developing required positions for future growth from within.
  10. Counsel employees pro-actively with regards to performance.
  11. Ensure all HR activities comply with local labor laws and internal regulations, aligning with broader corporate governance.
  12. Oversee all activities for licenses and permits in all plants.

What we're looking for

  1. S1 in Human Resources, Psychology, Law or related field
  2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in an HR generalist role with 5+ years in a senior HR leadership role.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing environment a must.
  4. Good understanding of Indonesian labor laws
  5. Experience working according to HR best practices
  6. Experience working in a multi-national environment a plus
  7. Experience liaising with local community and government officials for support and licensing
