Job summary

Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk is seeking a Head of Energy to lead the company's energy strategy, roadmap, and business model in West Java, Indonesia. You will design and implement electricity distribution systems and energy infrastructure to ensure reliable power supply across industrial estates.

The role requires extensive experience in energy, power, and utility infrastructure, with leadership responsibility for a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in power, electricity, energy, utilities, industrial infrastructure, or related sectors.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership/managerial position with responsibility for energy, power, utilities, or electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience in electricity distribution, power systems, power generation, and utility infrastructure.
• Experience working with PLN, WILUS, IPP, utility providers, or major industrial customers is highly preferred.
• Experience in industrial estate, large-scale industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of energy, electricity, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Preferably exposure to renewable energy, PV, smart grid, or energy transition initiatives.
• High integrity, accountability, and professionalism with commitment to ethical business practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish the Energy strategy, roadmap, and business model aligned with long-term objectives and industrial estate plans.
• Plan, design, and develop the electricity distribution system, network, and energy infrastructure for reliable power supply.
• Develop and implement renewable energy solutions, including PV systems, complying with standards and sustainability goals.
• Manage and optimize energy supply and operations, integrating PLN supply and internal power systems using smart grid concepts where applicable.
• Lead energy demand and capacity planning accounting for expansion, tenant needs, and long-term power needs.
• Lead risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance, and reliability programs to minimize operational risks.
• Lead planning and evaluation of energy-related projects, CAPEX, investments, and budgets for cost efficiency.
• Establish and maintain relationships with PLN, regulators, government authorities, strategic partners, and tenants on technical, regulatory, commercial matters.
• Build and develop the Energy team with governance, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description
