Job description

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Design to lead our design team and elevate the user experience of our Kredivo app. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, user experience, and leadership, with a passion for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences. As the Head of Design, you will drive design strategy, foster innovation, and ensure alignment with our business goals to deliver exceptional user-centric solutions.

1. Design Leadership:

  • Define and execute the design vision and strategy for the Kredivo app, aligning with the company’s mission and objectives.
  • Advocate for design excellence across all customer touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and cohesive user experience.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a scalable design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across the app.

2. Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary design team, including UX/UI designers, researchers, and visual designers.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative team culture that encourages innovation and professional development.

3. User-Centric Approach:

  • Champion user-centered design principles, driving research initiatives to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors.
  • Leverage insights to create designs that simplify complex financial processes and enhance usability.
  • Establish and track design KPIs to measure the impact of design initiatives on user satisfaction, engagement, and business growth.

4. Collaboration:

  • Partner with product management, engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs on time.
  • Act as a key voice in product roadmaps, ensuring the design perspective is integrated into decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.

5. Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies, and introduce new approaches to enhance the app's competitive edge.
  • A solid grasp of art history, design history, photography and the visual arts, pop culture, and counterculture, fluency in current technology, politics, and a deep understanding of the zeitgeist of social tastes and current affairs.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  1. 10+ years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in fintech or digital products.
  2. Proven track record of delivering user-friendly and visually compelling digital experiences.

Skills:

  1. Expertise in user research, UX/UI design, interaction design, and design systems.
  2. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Design AI tools, etc.
  3. Strong understanding of agile development processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  4. Bonus Points: Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP), Certified Design Thinking Practitioner (CDTP), Adobe Certified Associate (ACA), Demonstrated success in leading design for high-traffic; a portfolio showcasing innovative solutions for complex problems in a high-growth environment.

Leadership:

  1. Exceptional ability to lead and inspire design teams, with a focus on mentorship and talent development.
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education:

Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered
