Head of Business Development - Specialty Chemicals

PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk and its subsidiaries are looking for high-potential candidates to be employed as Head of Business Development – Specialty Chemicals with the following details:

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, or related fields; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in the chemical industry (preferably specialty chemicals).
  3. Proven track record in business development, strategic partnerships, and/or M&A activities.
  4. Strong industry network within the chemical and specialty chemicals sector.
  5. Deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the chemical industry.
  6. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue growth opportunities.
  7. Experience in managing end-to-end deal processes including sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, and integration.
  8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  9. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities that support the growth of the specialty chemical business unit.
  2. Lead and manage strategic partnership initiatives, joint ventures, and potential M&A opportunities.
  3. Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to develop growth strategies and assess commercial potential.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, clients, and key industry stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to evaluate and execute business development initiatives.
  6. Support financial modeling, risk analysis, and due diligence activities for potential deals.
  7. Develop business cases and strategic proposals for presentation to senior leadership and decision-makers.
  8. Monitor ongoing partnerships or deals to ensure performance and alignment with business objectives.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to explore new opportunities.
