Head of Business Development - Specialty Chemicals
PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk and its subsidiaries are looking for high-potential candidates to be employed as Head of Business Development – Specialty Chemicals with the following details:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, or related fields; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in the chemical industry (preferably specialty chemicals).
- Proven track record in business development, strategic partnerships, and/or M&A activities.
- Strong industry network within the chemical and specialty chemicals sector.
- Deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the chemical industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue growth opportunities.
- Experience in managing end-to-end deal processes including sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, and integration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Job Descriptions:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities that support the growth of the specialty chemical business unit.
- Lead and manage strategic partnership initiatives, joint ventures, and potential M&A opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to develop growth strategies and assess commercial potential.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, clients, and key industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to evaluate and execute business development initiatives.
- Support financial modeling, risk analysis, and due diligence activities for potential deals.
- Develop business cases and strategic proposals for presentation to senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Monitor ongoing partnerships or deals to ensure performance and alignment with business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to explore new opportunities.
- Continuously track the success of business development activities and provide regular updates to leadership.
